The Gachon Lee Gil-ya Obstetrics and Gynecology Memorial Hall, located in Jung-gu, Incheon, is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year.

Since opening its doors in June 2016, the memorial hall has welcomed 150,000 visitors over the past decade. The Gachon Cultural Foundation reported that 24,720 people visited last year, marking the highest annual attendance since its opening.

The memorial hall initially operated across three floors, including a space recreating the original obstetrics and gynecology clinic. Following a remodeling project in 2024, the exhibition and experience spaces were expanded to cover eight floors.

Lee Gil-ya Obstetrics and Gynecology, which famously operated as a "hospital with no deposit," first opened in 1958 in a three-story building in Yong-dong, Jung-gu, Incheon, and later grew into the Gachon University Gil Medical Center, a general hospital.

The memorial hall, which recreates the delivery room, waiting room, and operating room of the 1950s and 1960s, is open from Tuesday to Sunday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Admission is free.

The Gachon Cultural Foundation stated that the "Lee Gil-ya Obstetrics and Gynecology Memorial Hall" has established itself as a cultural space that conveys the life and philosophy of Chairman Lee Gil-ya, as well as a local landmark where visitors can experience the old hospital for free.
